In the U.S., some people support using embryonic stem cells for research. Other people oppose using embryonic stem cells for research.
What is your opinion about embryonic stem cell research? You need to show understanding of both sides of the argument in response, and include two reasons to support your answer.

In my opinion I think that the embryonic stem cell research is a very important research especially these days because the diseases are now increasing more than before. And as long as we have the treatment for these diseases than why should not we use it. Some people are saying that it is not fair to take the embryonic stem cell because after this the embryonic stem cell won’t live anymore and they are saying it is taking a life from it. But I think that the people who are living with us right now and suffering from diseases deserve to be treated and released from there suffer. Because when someone dies from any disease we loss this person but when we loss the embryonic stem cell we don’t even know who this person will be. Also when we loss an embryonic stem cell it does not mean it is the end of the world we can still make others.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the Dr. Hall. He showed me a great idea and very strong supporting detail. My opinion is the adult stem cell is a great technique, the adult stem cell’s technical must be grow up. In the blog, Dr. Hall talked about the adult stem cells can do many important things that other drug can’t do in the hospital. If we can use the adult stem cells, we can save many people’s life. In other size, the adult stem cells can copy people’s apparatus. I think this technique will be very common in future. If this technique is common in the hospital, that will be change the cured mode. Now, when invalids go to the hospital, the doctors have to find the problem and make a plan to try to cure the bad apparatus. Usually the problem is easy to find, but difficult to solve. If we can use the adult stem cells technique, we don’t need to cure the bad apparatus, we can just change it. So, it will be easily, safely and quickly. That is why I agree adult stem cells technique.
Saud, you make some very interesting points! I think your rational that an embryo is not yet a human being is a good reason to favor using embryonic stem cells. I hadn't thought of this reason before.

ReplyDeleteAccording to Dr. Zach Hall research has discovered that he can help the people who have damages cells by several diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and diabetes, and change it to them with a new one. It’s comes from “very early-stage embryos that have been discarded” Dr. Zach said. These cells grown in dish and in ender specific conditions they can have more of these cells, and easily adapt to the adult human body. It can be nerve cells, heart cells and muscle cells. I extremely agree with Dr. Zach to go forward with his researches. This invention will help a lot of people to recover from their sickness, and live a better live. For those whom censer about the cells, and where they come from I’d like to tell them there still people with goodness in their heart. This is a big personally decision where that person wants to help the injured people.
Fahad, you have a very optimistic view of human nature! I agree with you to some extent, that we have to trust that these scientists have "goodness in their hearts." However, people with good intentions can still make huge mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI’m not really agreed with both of them. I think both of these stem cell researches are good for human. We should have research on both of them. Think about why we found the adult stem cell and embryonic stem cell, I guess the main source is we want to solve the diseases. There are two benefits on embryonic stem cell that is the large number and nonspecializing cells. We can use this to solve the nerve cells, heart cells, muscle cells, kidney cells and other things. Can adult stem cell help us to solve those diseases? No! But what adult stem cell can do is making up all of our blood cells in the bone marrow. It’s really important because we can’t live without the blood cells. Maybe it is highly restricted, but I think it doesn’t matter. We have so many sciences in the world; I don’t think embryonic stem cell and adult stem cell can’t survive in the one time.
ReplyDeleteEmbryonic is a little life, it can become to a human being, It means embryonic is a life. How can we take a life to save another life? Doctors use the stem-cell form embryonic, after that the embryonic die without stem-cell, I can’t believe a doctor trying to take a new young life to study or treat other people. I know some people which have some disease need stem-cell from Embryonic to treat their disease, but in my opinion, we can’t kill someone to save others, that are unfair. Some people think that is important research, some disease can be curable. Think about that if we use this program to treat a person, it means another young life is died by this program.

of these. It's out side of my understanding! But since I am in level 4 , I do have to finish it .
In my opinion, I support to develop this kind of sciense.It's totally very useful for human's
future and maybe can legthen human's life. I think adult stem cells have some advantages
that embryos don't have. For instance, adult stem cells are much easier to get them. But the
most important difference is that the adult stem cells oncogenic risk is very low and the
fewer ethical argurements in theory.In other hand , embryos still have some advantages like
embryonic stem cells can be immortalized , establishment of generations , and proliferation
ability is strong and sources .I think maybe scientists should combine these advantages
together.
I approve of stem cell research; it is the way forward in advancing medicine and medical knowledge.
ReplyDeleteMost sources of stem cells are destroyed anyway so exacting the stem cells would not be wrong! There is nothing wrong with using embryonic stem cells because embryos are not sentient beings capable of thinking for itself, it's alive but it's like saying a human hair is alive! If you burn a human hair is that murder? NO!
If the embryo is not a being like you and me, it's just a collection of cells! It is not alive in the sense that it has its own mind and is its own life form. Embryos develop into living beings but in its early state it’s not a living being!
Don't let religion hold back science and progress!!! Tell people who are suffering from serious diseases that could be cured with stem cell research that stem cell research is wrong!!!

I would go against killing an embryo for getting stem cells. It is just stealing someone else's life to save another human being that was my opinion. However, I thought again and changed my belief, when Dr. Zach explain” So during development, some of the early stage stem cells remain in the body in various tissues as adult stem cells”. I am really agreeing with Fahad that “I extremely agree with Dr. Zach to go forward with his researches. This invention will help a lot of people to recover from their sickness, and live a better live." In my opinion I think the situation still that many parents cannot lose their children "Embryonic". They believe the embryonic is the first onset of fetal. In my opinion Stem cell research can be used to cure a person. If a woman has an abortion then there is nothing wrong with harvesting that dead babies’ stem cells to keep a dyeing person alive as the babies doesn't mind because it’s dead.

Well, I disagree with Saud when he said that embryonic stem cells is a good thing to cure people, Alright.. I’m not saying that we should keep people who are suffering from diseases, But I think these cell need to get there chance to try this life we’re in. And I think it’s a selfish thing to use the embryonic stem cell for other people.. It’s like having an abortion, And some people think that the abortion is a horrible thing… OK, I don’t think that there is a big difference between these things.

The researchers spend a lot of their life in their researches to find solutions for many of our daily problems. The researches are developing every day and bring us new solutions and treatments of encounter problems and diseases. These days we hear about stem cell embryonic research which is the key for treatment of majority of incurable diseases.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the one of the most important research these days and I believe that this research will help alot of people and return the hope for them. So, I agree with this new research despite objection of many other people even if it takes the life from embryo because in my opinion it still not a person. I totally agree with my classmate Saud espicially when he says "when someone dies from any disease we loss this person but when we loss the embryonic stem cell we don’t even know who this person will be." Also, I agree with his point, that we can end the suffering of the people we care about them. So, we have to look at the life in an optimistic outlook and accept this new research.

ReplyDeleteI extremely agree with yaser when he said "I think these cell need to get there chance to try this life we’re in". Yasers opinion remained me the story of Albert Einstein if his mother was aborted him we will never have lots of knowledge about physics as Einstein's found. Moreover, just God knows about the future and God able to create many people who willing to come with a lot of knowledge that helps the world and develop it by different sciences.
This experiment will cost a lot of money and many women don’t agree to kill them children and the same time they are not willing to do it, because this is not ethical treatment.
I think almost all governments around the world don't agree with this unethical idea , but they give some promotions to the scientists to do it for animals for example the sheep Dolly, but Dolly dead after a while. So there is no grantee as God doing and create.

ReplyDeleteI read the NPR's Robert by Siegel she talks to Dr. Zach Hall about stem cell research I did not agree or even convinced about what Dr.Zach Hall says. In my opinion, creating cells from stem cell to be replaced in the other’s human bodies is controversial. I think that will lead to kill a human being, kill a baby before he/she is born, is not allowed in some religions specifically in Islamic religion to do that. Also, that might lead to produce cloning for the human. In fact, the scientist should respect human being and do what is the best for the parents or even for the babies. I always agree with the new things to help people to live better life but I don’t agree with creating something could destroy others life. For example, I don’t like the way of killing Babies to create cells for our bodies and to get a good health.

Some people believe that research of empryos is forbidden and the opposite of that for the others. People who believe Embryonic is forbidden have reasons such as killing people certainty no one accept killing people. But we have to look to the other side and compare them. Helping a lot of people that what I’m looking at. ReplyDeleteThese days, stem cell researchers have captured the scientist’s imagination. They try to planting the cells in dishes and use them to replace cells in a human body. That may help people who lost cells through disease such as:” Parkinson, Diabetes and Alzheimer”.
Many people disagree with that idea because they believe that only God can make that and people don’t have an eligibility to do it. I believe that God gave us the brain to use it in a good way, so I think that’s an amazing idea from the scientists to think about using the adult stem cells in their research and therapy because that will help many people to solve their problems.
